When Karla Mitchell left France after earning her Masters in International Business, she was on top of the world. Not only had she completed graduate school, she had achieved her dream of living in Paris. In her mind the sky was the limit. She even told family and friends "Le meilleur est à venir." (the best is yet to come) only to be diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer a year and a half later.
After going through treatment, Karla is now cancer-free and feels her story can inspire people to follow their dreams because tomorrow is not promised. She would also like her experience to emphasize the importance of early detection and breast self exams.
